Flagpole Photographers Camera Club invites the public to join members for the club’s events in April, which include a portrait photography presentation and a monthly contest.

Julia Gerace will direct the first show, scheduled for Thursday April 8 at 7:30 p.m.

Then, on Thursday April 22 at 7:15 pm, members will participate in the “All In The Details” contest theme and the “Sunrises & Sunsets” monthly challenge.

Although the competitions are only open to members, the public is invited to listen to reviews and learn about photography.

Both programs are open to everyone, free of charge, and will be broadcast online. Visit flagpolephotographers.com and click on Events to learn how to join online meetings.

Members compete in a different mission each month, as well as in Open Color and Open Monochrome. New for this season is the Monthly Challenge category, which is decided at the competition meetings the following month.

Flagpole Photographers is a local non-profit group that enables members to share their images and expertise, learn and grow in their photography, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow photographers from diverse backgrounds, with skills photography ranging from novices to professionals.

New members are always welcome and can register their work in the club’s monthly competitions, participate in workshops, take field trips, get involved in community programs and participate in annual exhibitions. Memberships for the remainder of the 2020-21 season are now free.

Additional club information, meeting dates including calendar of events, member galleries and workshop information is available on the website.
