Yuva Tourism Club GDC Sidhra organizes a photography competition

Special Group for the selection of FOs from the FS Courts of Appeal

Jammu Tawi, 02 Aug: Yuva Tourism Clubs have been established in colleges as part of the Indian government’s initiative to instill appreciation of the importance and opportunities of tourism in the state as well as in the country. Activities are organized by the club from time to time so that club members can develop an interest and passion for tourism.

Yuva Tourism Club of Govt. Degree College Sidhra, Jammu held a photography contest under the banner of “Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. Students were invited to send photographs clicked by them on three themes. The themes were ‘Heritage Sites of Jammu’, ‘Uncharted Jammu’ and ‘Dogra Culture’. Many students shared photos that they clicked on. Photograph clicked by Karan Singh Parihar of B. A Sem IV was voted Best Photograph. The event was judged by Dr. Harpreet Kour, Head of Political Science Department and Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, Head of Urdu Department. The event was organized by Dr. Anu Sharma, Nodal Officer, Yuva Tourism Club under the capable leadership of the College Principal, Dr. BB Anand.
